anyone with Hashi's also have Celiac disease?

Any of you with Hashimoto's also have Celiac disease? I read that some of those with Hashi's sometimes feel better when they eliminate gluten from their diets so in an effort to feel better, I have done this for about 2 months and have definitely started to feel better doing this as well as taking synthroid and vitamins. Anyway - last week not realizing that soy sauce had wheat in it, i had some and the next day, i felt extremely fatigued, dizzy, a little gassy and just off. after a few days i started to feel better again. Yesterday I indulged in a piece of bread and by last night I  felt fatigued, irritable, dizzy, eyes felt swollen and pressure behind them, and gassy. I still am feeling bad today. Could this be a gluten allergy or is it just a coincidence and these are the hashi's symptoms rearing their ugly head? I definitely don't feel as bad as i did before my thyroid medication but it just seems random given that i was feeling so good and then after the bread and soy sauce i feel like crap again. The only thing is i'm really not having any painful gastrointestinal problems which i read is a big sign of celiac) I also read that usually when you have one autoimmune disease, you are prone to others ( i also tested positive for anti nuclear antibodies) but wondering if maybe i have antibodies associated with Celiac disease as well??

No, but I do function much better without gluten, as many Hashis do.

I've had Hashi's since childhood but only discovered a few months ago that I have Celiac as well. I had always attributed my stunted growth and delayed puberty and various other symptoms to the Hashi's, but I now think Celiac also contributed to them. I had GI problems since childhood, mostly the feeling that my stomach was burning on the inside (but not heartburn), but that was about it. My main symtoms, however, related to nutrition. I was always underweight, with long menstrual cycles, and was anemic at one point. I tested positive for all the Celiac blood tests (but you have to have been eating gluten at the time of the tests for the antibodies to show up), and since I have gone gluten-free, I have finally started being able to gain weight. As a matter of fact, today is the first day my weight tracker said I'm in the Normal BMI range!

I don't know if this is relevant, but the two times I have eaten Chinese food in my life, I felt AWFUL afterward, like everything in my body had trouble functioning for a day or two after. I don't know if it just had more gluten in it than the amount I had been eating in my everyday diet, or if it was something like MSG, but that kind of sounds to me like what you're describing you felt after eating gluten. I personally am glad I got tested. I was sure that the results would come back inconclusive, but every test was very positive for Celiac. It gives me peace of mind to know that there was a reason for my malnutrition and if I hadn't gotten tested, I'm sure I would have been second-guessing it the rest of my life.
