Tak a look at this article below. I believe migraines are very common with the meds used- along with possible diet and lack of exercise due to hypothyroidism.

I hope this link helps.

I suspect the "Visual Aura usually without Migraine" is probably related to thyroid problems that have been going on for many years.  These "episodes" became more frequent and in clusters since going through menopause.  Finally when I went to a neurologist who said it was a migraine deviate or Simple Partial Lobe Siezures.  (The EEG showed mild spikes in the occipital lobe.)  So, we had a 2 year trial run with siezure medication, which seemed to help somewhat.  We moved, I went to new neuro who said, it's only a migraine deviate.  He took me off the siezure med.  Then, in the past year I was dx'd with Hashi with goiter.   When first starting thyroid medication at only 25mcg, I started having a continual headache (no aura) which started on day 3.  On that day the joint achiness I had been experiencing magically deminished, but was replaced with the headache.  Prior to this my doctor had been considering rhuematoid arthritis - so this was NO small thing!  At my 6 week check up, I begged for 50 mcg to see what would happen.  He agreed to try it.  The headaches stopped within a day or two and the residual joint achiness continued to lessen to practically nothing.  So far, so good.  I haven't had another "episode" in 2 months since starting the 50 mcg.  But these tend to be somewhat erratic, so only time will tell for sure.  However, I can't help but think that my thyroid problems have been the cause of all these symptoms.
