about 5 years ago my thyroid went very overactive as did my sister's, my sister had hers killed off, now she has to take thyroxine for the rest of her life, my thyroid levels went back to normal after being treated for about 18 months, i still have regular thyroid blood tests, these are my latest results. could anyone just confirm to me that these results are normal and i have nothing to worry about, results as follows:

SERUM FREE T4 LEVEL 16.00 PMOL/L            RANGE 11-24
SERUM TSH LEVEL            .28 MU/L                RANGE 0.3 - 5.5

Wow, looks like you're doing great!

I was diagnosed last October with Hyperthyroidism too.  Have a friend who had hers "killed off".  I am taking medication.  I'm told that, the hope, is that it will go into remission.  Sure hope that's the case.

You are the first person I have heard that gets to normal ranges again.  My T3 & T4, for the first time last month, came into normal ranges.  My TSH continues to be low.  The Edocrinologist told me it could take a while to bring that into a normal range.

Do you feel better or do you still have "your days"?:)
