How do you get your doctor to test the T3? I've repeated myself on here many times since yesterday but I had blood work done yesterday and specifically asked for these tests and they (the Vampire) said she would be testing for TSH,FT3,FT4 and B-12. They did all but the T3. I feel like I am having to beg for it. I'm going to the doctor next week and that is one of my questions to her. I asked the nurse when she called yesterday and she was just dumbfounded that I even asked her about the T3 - she had no answer. Just changed the subject and asked me if I was under stress. LOL Whatever.
I thought that was normal. For years mine have always consistently been 97.6. I thought it was because I have lower blood pressure (usually around 90/65 - sometimes a bit lower if I'm sick). I am constantly cold - a day has not gone by all summer where I haven't worn a coat outside unless I was on our boat and it was about 90 degrees in the sun and I still did not sweat.
okay just checked it 98.6 another hasi i had 2 hop in the bath tub i was cold cold. NOw, I have the out of control feeling:) YIppee
Your still hypo that is why your temp is low. Dont forget that the t3 and t4 tests have to be free t4 and free t3...don't let them run the outdated ones that are useless.
what are our normal temps. cuz I swear mine hasn't moved from 97.3 in over two weeks???
Heck no. The nurse just said within normal, and then told me tsh. Im going to talk to her about t3, and t4. and ask for armour. I am pretty sure the synthroid isn't doing its job. I know its only been two months But have only had two clear weeks. So I will keep you updated!
What was your free t3 and free t4 results? Just a tsh alone is not conclusive at all...I hope your dr is aware of this. Ask the dr when you talk to him or her. Are you feeling any better?
