central hypoxia

I tllk 2 grains of thyroid for over 20 years.  I developed sinus tachycardia and it was thought to be caused by thyroid medications.  It was later found to be caused by enlarged atrium due to hight blood pressure.  My thyroid medications was reduced to .05 synthroid.  I have just been diagnosed with sleep apnea, occasional apnea events, but several central apnea events requiring Cpap and Oxygen.  Could the reduction in thyroid medication be part of the problem.  I know that I have gained a considerable amount of weight that I find impossible to lose.
