diet pill question

by tyro1, Apr 08, 2009 12:53PM
Has anyone ever heard of a connection between taking diet pills and damage to your hypothalmus?  I read something once and can't remember the source.  Is it possible that diet pills can burn out your adrenals?  Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey... I did hear that... There not good for any of the adrenal glands simply because they can adversivly have an effect on you if you have any adrenal problems and if you dont have any adrenal problems then evenually you will if you take diet pills. I know this sounds horrible but working out, eating small meals a day, drinking lots of water at night to prevent bloating, and sleeping well will help you the most with ur weight, as well as if u have any problems with the thyroid, that gland specifically has to do with the metabalism... Get copies of ur bloodwork and keep track of where ur ranges are and how you feel esspecially! :) Good luck with everything and I hope I helped!
