edema

I have had edema in both legs for over 3 months. my Dr. ran all the test and says nothing is abnormal except my previous thyroid test was in the 300's and the new test is in the 700's. she upped my synthroid from 50 to 75mg could this be the cause of the edema a under medicated thyroid? if it is about how long does it take to regulate my body so the swelling goes away.please help i am so tired of fat feet and knees.  It is 8 weeks today since i starting taking 75mg  and the swelling is still here.  Thank you so very much

Yes, I wonder too...is that your TSH?

Edema in the legs and feet is a symptom of hypothyroidism.  Mine disappeared very soon after starting meds.  Do you have other hypo symptoms?

Is your doctor monitoring free T3 and free T4 every time she tests TSH?  If you have results of those please post with reference ranges.

Hi I dont understand you labs. What thyroid test? Yes I experienced leg water retention...swelling whatever when I got on synthroid. I never improved not mention the fatigue etc. I reached 100mcg. and switched to Nature Throid....it took 10 months for the "bloat" to go away. Just switched to Erfa and I am retaining liquid again too. Hopefully it willl dissappear.
