ferritin levels/hair loss

I have had a lot of hair loss since my TT in November.  I got my levels tested again & my TSH is .02 & he doesn't want to change a thing.  Seems to be a little on the hyper side to me.  He also tested my ferritin levels at my request.  My level came back at a 10.  I didn't get the ranges, but he told me it was a little low.  I asked if this could be the reason for the hair loss & he said it could be & put me on 325mg of iron 2 x a day.  That seems like a lot of iron to me.  I didn't get to ask any questions about taking this much iron &  I don't go back for labs for another 6 weeks.  What do y'all think?  Too much?

Hi.. I am going through the same thing with the Ferritin levels. I had a horrible stomach bug that landed me in the hospital for a few days and my ferritin levels were at 4!!!!! They should be at leat at 30 my Endo said. I have heavy periods so I am anemic. My Dr put me on Repliva and I just saw the Endo yesterday and my levels are at a 15 now. Half way there. Yes, he also said it has a great deal to do with your hair.
