Ive been on Tapazoles 5 mg Tablets for  about 2 months and Ive notice that My finger naills are very soft and breaking all the time. along w/  redness under the tip of nails on both hands I also get the tingleling feeling sometime like just befor they go numb. How can I help my finger tips or is this just something i have to deal with due to my thyroid? any suuggetiions would be helpful.Thanks.

My nails were doing that right before being diagnosed with Hyper T and after starting Tapazole (October 2007).  My nails are much better.  Talk to your Endo about this.  My nails are still thin and brittle, but no longer lifting away from the nail bed.
