goiter

by homer1231, Mar 10, 2008 06:41PM
doctors say my thyroid levels are normal, but i have a goiter and i do not feel well for 6 years now. I get heart palpitations and a lot of other things going on that just don't feel well.
Can you still have thyroid problems if your blood work comes back fine?
Thank you,
Richelle from ohio

Which thyroid tests did they run and what were the results?

Did they just check TSH or did they also check T3 and T4 as well as thyroid antibodies?   Have they run an ultrasound on your thyroid to see what the goiter may consist of?

Yes, you can have thyroid problems with normal blood tests but we need to know what thyroid tests you have had run.
