got bach my lab result after switching for synthroid to armour

Please help anyone, I just got my lab result back and so scarred. I switched from synthroidto armour three months ago, and my result are scary: my tsh is 4.9  free t4: 7.4 my cholesterol: 215. when I was on synthroid my last lab work Tsh 1.22  free t4: 1.04  I heard that when you are on armour you should other test and should not look at the tsh anymore?????? is that true. help me please

Do you know the lab range on your Free T4?

Absolutely not !! I am on Armour and even though the TSH is defined in a different thiought process it still is important to look at for heaven's sake!!


I think AR meant Free T3 - do you have that?

You need a dosage increase....what dosage did you start at and how often have you increased? And yes as the others said....you need to have a TSH, Free T4 and Free T3 tests run to see where your levels are at.
Don't be afraid....you just need to be increased and brought to optimum level.  :)
