heart in throat

by angela491, Jul 05, 2009 12:10PM
My questions might seem strange but not as strange as the feeling that I have been having off & on for some time now.I sometimes get this feeling of a throbbing/pounding in my throat, like my heart is in my throat, can this be a sign of a thyroid disorder?

This discussion is related to thyriod.

Yes it can but can also be anxiety.
The only way to find out is go to your Docotr and ask for a thyroid function test (TFT) and ask for your FREE T# and FREE T4 and TSH to be done.
Make sure he does the FREE testing and not the normal T3, T4.
Also ask for an antibodies test to test for Graves Disease and Hashimoto.

Let us know who you go.
