help ?? aug 16 surgery

HELLO! I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS? I HAVE A 5.2CM NODULE/GOITER, WE HAVE WATCHED THIS FOR 7YRS. STARTED OFF BEING 2CM , ITS A COLD COMPLEX NODULE. HAD THE IDIONE PILL (RAI?) HOPING TO SHRINK IT BUT IT ACTUALLY WENT FROM 4.8CM TO 5.2CM. JUST HAD MY GALLBLADDER TAKEN BCZ OF STONE. SO I CANCELD MY 1ST THYROID SURGERY. MY ENDO INCREASE MY ARMOUR TO 90MG AND I FEEL BETTER, HAVING NO EAR PAIN OR THROAT PAIN ANYMORE. I CLEAR MY THROAT ALOTS. HE SAID IF YOU WANT TO WAIT AWHILE FOR SURGERY, DO SO. BUT, MY ENT SAID SHE LIKES TO TAKE THEM OUT OVER 4CM AND YOU HAVE HAD SYMPTOMS AND YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU TAKE IT OUT IF IT IS CANCER! I'VE HAD PROBABLY 6 FNA IN 7 YRS. OH, I HAD MY RIGHT THYROID REMOVED ABOUT 20 YRS AGO BCZ HAD A NODULE THAT WAS QUESTIONABLE. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME IMPUT ? THANK YOU!!

Well, I am not the voice of experience, but I am scheduled to get my whole thyroid out in the next few weeks because of size as well. Mine is almost that big, also have pressure on my throat and some other things. I would say get it done, the sooner the better as the Dr's told me it would just get bigger and be harder to remove. Just my .02 cents worth. Good luck to you!

thank you for your response! are you on  meds?  do you get blood work done?  i had my TSH at 111 and felt crappy but keep pushing myself to work.  but i couldn't figure why i was so tried, weak etc.  until they checked my TSH the dr couldn't believe a was able to get out of bed.  so, make sure you get your thyroid blood work.  i hope everything goes well with your surgery.  mine is aug 16th when is yours?  did your dr do a FNA biospy?  i know the pressure in your throat is really aggravating. keep us posted!!  best wishes
