I'm glad you've found Tirosint and do hope it works for you.  The only unpleasant aspect of it is that the price continues to increase and insurance doesn't cover it. For that reason, I will be asking my endo for something else when I see him in July.  I'm thinking of going to Levoxyl.

oh my I really needed to hear this, I was allergic to every thyroid med on the market and almost died for 7 years, finally I payed and prayed because it seemed so hopeless, you have to have thyroid to live///. and I became severally ill.  Finally By the grace of God (truly truly) I found Tirosint,   at first so awesome, then too high or to low.   taking 88 now, always want to sleep. tried 100 went to the moon.   I will try as you said 94 by alternating. am prayin,, my life would be so much better. thank you so much for this advice and God bless D

AJ is absolutely correct and I'd only add that because Tirosint is a pretty "pure" form of T4 medication, many of us find that it's more quickly dissolved and better absorbed than pill forms of T4, which have the fillers/binders.

Because of this, we usually recommend that people just starting on Tirosint, start at a lower dose than they would with a pill form - it's not stronger, it just might work better/faster.  Even though it comes in specified dosages, you can get almost any dosage you need, by alternating strengths.  For instance, I got 94 mcg, by alternating 100 mcg with 88 mcg.  Sometimes, we need just a tiny "bump".

Tirosint is the first and only T4 in liquid gel cap form. This pure formulation consists only of T4, glycerin, gelatin, and water. Unlike some tablet formulations, Tirosint is free of dyes, gluten, lactose, sugar, and alcohol.
