hetrogenious thyroid

I had an MRI on my neck last week and when the report came back it said there was an enlarged hetrogenious thyroid. It suggested an ultrasound.  My Dr.did labs which showed my thyroid panel normal  but the tpo was 664.  I had my ultrasound today and I asked the girl what it said.  She said the left side is larger than the right but my entire thyroid is hetrogenious.  What could cause this??
