high cholesterol and hypothyroidism

My cholesterol is high, very high. I tried to tell my dr that this is related to hypothyroidism, and she wanted proof that the 2 are related. Does anyone know of a "study" that I could print out and take to her?

I just found something from mayo clinic.. Hypothyroidism: Can it cause high cholesterol?
