Does anyone know what causes high tsh and high t4? I had an MRI to check for a pituitary tumor, came back negative.

Thanks.  My results were: t-4 13.8 (range 4.5 12.5), TSH 5.0 (range .4 - 4.5) t3 was in range.  They don't seem that bad to me. Ultrasound showed a 6mm nodule on one side and 1cm on the other.  GP ordered the MRI, and then referred me to an endo which is going to take a month to get into. GP said they would probably remove my thyroid. I didn't think my results were that bad. Thanks for responding.
