hoarse voice

have a hx of breast ca -- in remission since 99- in december was diagnosed with hoshimotos desease an enlarged thyroid- they have me on meds and it has gone down in size some but the last 3 days Iv developed a very hoarse voice. Went to my general Dr and he set me up ... [More] for another us---any ideas of what I may have?

An enlarged thyroid can cause a hoarse voice...it presses on the laryngeal nerve which is the nerve to your larynx (voice box).  It's a fairly common symptom of an enlarged thyroid.  Best to have a US and see what's up.
