hoarsness with phelgm

I must clear my throat and cough up phelgm.  It has been going on for two years.  Have had an MRI.  was okay.  I get hoarse until I get it up, sometimes with coughing.

Hi, Do you already suffer with thyroid disease? Or this totally unrelated? If you could provide more information it would be easier for everyone to give you help as there are a lot of reasons as well as thyroid that cause problems with coughing etc.
