this is from ****.com, so I'm not sure how accurate it is but in any event:

At the Toronto General Hospital, the cost for outpatient radioactive iodine for the treatment of hyperthyroidism may range from $250 to $400 CAD, which is not that different from a years supply of medications (PTU or methimazole) used to treat hyperthyroidism. "

For the treatment itself, it was about $350 for the actual radioactive iodine pill. However, we ended up paying my entire deductible ($1500) for the initial Iodine uptake scans and tests they give you before your RAI to determine how much Radioactive Iodine to give you. Remember you are charged for everyone you reads your labs, your copays for the hospital, Endocrinology visits, etc.
