Me967,
Don't be embarrassed. Let us know what kind of responses you get.
shaina179,
I had a pain behind one ear and an annoying wooshing sound that had me thinking I was going to have an aneurism or something. That is one of the things that led my first doctor to check my thyroid. That, and constant complaining about all the obvous symptoms. The pain and wooshing went away after I started thyroid meds.
I have no explanation for the symptoms, as my blood pressure was fine. Again, I don't think it was neurological. It was something physical going on that my doctor could not explain.
Neurologic symptoms can be brought on by hypothyroidism.
Whether or not that is what you are experiencing is not something I can answer.
AR....Thank you very much for your answers. I have just posted on the neurology forum the same basic question. What a huge embarrassment! LOL My pains seem to be "seasonal" though in which really makes me feel crazy. :-# Grrr.
shaina179....I'm really not sure what to say concerning ears and the back side of the head. I'm reaching here myself. If you go into greater detail though it might be easier to get an answer to your question. I'm so sorry I just don't know. Best of wishes on receiving your answer though. ;-)
i mean to say m feeling pain in ears and sometime in back side of head..
Joint stiffness, muscle aches and pains, and edema are all symptoms of hypothyroidism.
I'm not sure you could call any of those neurological symptoms, though.
Neurological symptoms to me, are nerve related pain or tingling sensations. I guess that we need to define the term, which is why I was asking.
I'm not sure if you would call memory problems or the ability to process information neurological symptoms. I don't think so, but I could be wrong. They are more possible symptoms of hypothyroidism, but I don't think I would call them neurological in nature.
I have a spot on my nose that tingles, and bothers me off and on. That is what I would call neurological. Maybe I don't understand the definition of the term.
I was wondering the same thing on neurological disorders? Or maybe it's even the same question. I hope it is because other wise I would feel bad about over posting.
I have a similar question concerning joint stiffness, muscle spasms/pains, edema with hypothyroidism. I've had these issues for years but they are continually getting worse.
* Does thyroid issues cause these pains with colder weather. LOL I've never really heard of seasonal pains/ spasms but man do I get them. Just curious. Amy
What do you mean by neurological disorders?
Hi there...ive just been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. I have had problems with memory. It feels like my mind isn't as quick as it was two years ago. Sometimes, when I have to explain someting (or Im telling a story) it feels like a real chore.
i have also been experiencing anxiety...(a feeling of dread around my chest area)
It's likely that its to do with the high levels of calcium in the blood.
Hope that helps.
