I know it was "just a question", but we can't recommend medications or dosages.
Are you on thyroid medication? The problem with some OTC meds is that they can raise blood pressure or heart rate, so might do more damage than good.
You might take a look at some antihistamine products; I found a Walmart brand that's equivalent to Zyrtec, that worked for me. I'm hypo, though, so you should still try to talk to your doctor before trying an OTC.
