in alot of pain today

Well my light duty for thr week last one day! I had to run my line Full duty last night and feel as if I pulled some muscle around my incision :-(. What is so up setting is that the other line ran last night and they had an extra person! that person is a close friend of are shift manager and they spent most of the night standing around talking to each other. When the other line went down his crew would help band my units WOW! Well that is what we always do!. What I needed was to ease into the full shift of 10 hours! Pushing thousands of pounds of wood all night, Running, lifting, all night has made my neck so sore I want to cry. I dont think Im being a baby about this. I just feel I should have been given a little more help with the pushing units in running things like that so I wont over do it so soon after Surgery. I DO have a note from my doctor for light duty for this week. What do you all think I should do?

go for the light duty!!You gotta take care of your self.
I did some thing similar and ended up with an infection on my sternum inscision.and when doc wrote me prescrition for cipro he gave me one for more lortabs.heehee.
So you take it easy as possible.Granny Venora has advised lol

I have a call into my surgeon and one into are companies personal department but no one has returned my call. If they dont call back I will have to go back to work and I'll bet sull duty again!!!!

If you have a Human Resource Dept. thats where you need to head and give them your light duty note. My brother just had prostate cancer and his doctor gave specifics of what he could do and not do on his job. It's really for your own protection and health.

I gave a copy of it to my plant manager and the knew I was to be on light duty for the week. I guess I could go the the emergency room and claim it as workers comp. since they didnt keep me on light duty. The only thing is they might fire me for that :(
