infertility after RAI therapy????

I just wanted to ask if RAI therapy would affect having children in the future?

My youngest sister had to have three doses of RAI for recurrent cancer.  I can't remember her last dose but it was somewhere around 220mCi.  Exactly 6 months after her last RAI she and her husband conceived their first child (they had been trying for years to no avail).  Today she has two beautiful daughters.

Yes, you can have children after RAI - just make sure that you wait the recommended period (usually 1 year).  Sometimes being on stable thyroid meds actually helps with fertility.
