I am currently on 45mg of ArmourArmour thyroid ...and even with "normalNormal saline flush" numbers, I am still feeling some fatigue, sleep issues and anxiety (which onset before I was diagnosed with Hashi and I still trying to shake off it's nasty physical effects), doctor suggests I go up to 60mg .. but I am aprehensive about going hyperthyroid. ... any experience with this?
thanks,
Hi there and welcome. 45 mgs of ArmourArmour thyroid is a very low dose. Most people start at 60mgs.
Your Free T4T4 test should be mid range normalNormal saline flush and your free t3 should be mid to mid high normal range....could you please post your ranges with the results?
Your TSH will be very supressed with Armour and make you look hyper. A good Armour doctor will know to dosage you according to symptoms and the free t3 and free t4, not the tsh. Biggest Armour failure in feeling good is being undertreated with med because dr doesn't understand the ranges for armour. You should also be tested every 4 weeks and increased every 2-4 weeks until you Feel optimal.
Fantastic....let me know how you feel. Don't forget to test in 4 weeks to see where you are at.
Yes you have room for improvement...let's see if this is the ticket! :)

T3 range is shown as 72-170; T4 is shown as .7-1.9 so it seems I am a bit low - normal on T3
