Both conditions can run hand in hand. A person with hypothyroidism can be mistaken for bi polar and vice versa -
As said - have the doctor run a TSH - Free T3 and a Free T4 test on your daughter.
Keep in mind she is on meds right know and those type of meds can interfer with a TSH reading.
Either way the tests need to be done/
IS she experiencing any other symptoms? A great check list is available. Google search "hypothyroid symptom check list". You will find a wonderful - well detailed check off sheet you can print and take to the doctor for reference.

Did she get tested for hypothyroidism???? Hypothyroidism is often mistaken for depression or anxiety disorders! Thats what happened to me at frist! The only way you will know is to get blood tests done! I notice that in my case I have horrible obsessive thoughts and worries. It happed all of a sudden... Woke up feeling this way one morning!
