You sent me a message, but I wanted to bump this up because I don't know what to say about your platelets. someone will see it that knows.

So you are seeing the doc every few months, and he/she let your TSH get up to 77? Was he testing every few months and watching it rise, or did it test fine one time and the next test it jumped up to 77?

Are you having severe symptoms?
Is your Free T4 really low?
Are you on anti-depressants?

Your thyroid hormone levels control your TSH. When you are getting enough Synthroid, your TSH will drop. If the dosage of 200mcg does not drop it in six weeks, you will need another increase.

How often are you getting tested? There is no excuse for your TSH to be 77 if you have been being treated for years.
