Endo said once I get back on the meds (synthoid 75( I would start feeling better.  Its been 2 weeks now, and
I'm getting tireder, and hurt so i can't sleep

Have been on med's for about 5 years, then  out of the blue i went hyper-    doc wanted me to crash for 3 weeks (no meds) because I was turned hyper-

Turmeric - 500mg a day, its a little hard on my digestive If I take more. Bromeline 250mg x 2 a day was not a problem, I liked it better.  I rarely need to take this stuff anymore.

The Hylands leg cramps is great stuff for all muscles/aches - dont know why they they just call it leg cramps.

The foam rollers dont do the job as well as a tennis ball. Need a lot more pressure in a concentrated area than what a foam roller will do.

"I am starting Monday with a myofasicial release (sp) speacilist."  - Try to learn from them and ask questions. Then buy a workbook on it from a book store.

Dont see how you can go three weeks with no thyroid meds - you will be misserable.

Thank you for taking your time to try to help me.

I am taking 800 mg magnessim (that what it takes to keep me for constipation
Yes, Motrin  etc....helps but not too much

I've not tried Bromeline w/ papaya but I will
I just started Turmeric last week, I've heard it does wonders (how much do you take?)

I'll try the Hylands too,  I do use all ball now and a foam roller.

I am starting Monday with a myofasicial release (sp) speacilist.

Thank you again,

Motrin, Ibuprophin, alive ect are NSAID's (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) and only help so much - like a band aid, but they help some. Try this too:

500mg magnessium per day.  $5

Bromeline (enzyme from pinapple top), with papaya tablets. - or Turmeric, these are natural anti inflammatories that you can take with nsaid's or other meds - they work too. $3 to $10 a bottle.

Hylands Leg Cramps (wallmart and wallgreens) work great for all muscles, no side effects, all natural, help sleep too. $3

Muscle relaxants help a little but you'll be spaced out.

You need deep penetrating muscle and tendon massage to get the toxins out and new blood in. Try rolling on a tennis ball on a hard surface for hip and low back pain. It will hurt as the toxins are pushed out- but when new blood moves in its a relief. Feet- role over a golf ball. Carpel tunnel - aggressively (slow, hard pressure till it hurts) role forearms over tennis ball on a wall. Shoulders - same thing on back over tennis ball on semi-hard floor. really works.

3 weeks is a long time.

Thank you for your concern,

I was on 125 for about 3 1/2 years doing fine, although little by little becoming hyper- symtoms, went to doc. she said I think your just nevered out, because Some bad things had happen to my daughter and I was depressed, Doc put me on prozac. stayed on it for 6 months, got off and was fine for about a year.  Stated having tremors, panic attacks, isolation, very irritable, heart palpitation,  ( feeling crazy).

went back to doc, she said oh you need to go back on prozac, I said no this is so different, please I'm not nerves now, my body is doing strange things, I know the difference, She said take this for 4 weeks and we will talk again,  I knew it was not my nerves, so I started looking on internet.  I came across what all this   HYPO and HYPER   meant.  So I went back and said check my Thyroid it has been 3 years, I want to know now!!!!
She thought I was crazy.  She did run blood test,  She changed be to 100 . Waited 4 weeks. Still felt Hyper. Then I found my first ENDO, he said he didn't like my results that I was very HYPER,,,,,, overmedicated.   He said the best thing to do was to crash my system.  ( I was hurting even when I was HYPER too)

So here I am today with  TSH 67.930                  rage ( 0.450-4.500 )
                                           Free T4    0.41             0.82- 1.77

and thyroid PeroxidSE ( tpo)         158                 1-34

I feel the need to strecth- stretch and again stretch, it feels good while I do it, then littl while hurts again.

I am still having Internal Tremors which GP, ENDO, or Neo knows why and I don't think they care either,  I feel like somedays I'm falling apart.

It is always good to hear for someone that knows your pain,
Bless you

Sounds like you've gone hypo! I just went hypo 2 months ago and could barely walk. I thought I was going to die because of the pain. Motrin didn't help me much but Doc gave me Tramadol. Sometimes I would have to take Vicodin.

I don't think that would be called a "Smooth Move" on your Doctors part to just remove your medication for 3 weeks because you had gone hyper. I would question your doctor's knowledge in dealing with hypothyroidism.

I'm not the expert on here but I'm sure someone will jump in and help you out!
