Everything looks Ok, you have normal values (TSH normal and free's are normal). You also don't have anemia. Usually subclinical thyroid problems are connected to high anti-thyroid antibodies:thyroiditis and Grave's (TPO and anti-Tg) , iodine-associated hyperthyroidism, solitary autonomous adenoma. If you really want to be sure, you can repeat the analyses in the next 6 weeks and see if your TSH gets lower, but to me it looks very well (also the free's).

thanks so much for your response.  i really appreciate it.  i wasn't sure if my doctor was telling me i was "normal" but not taking into account something sub clinical.

so i guess my red blood cell count is okay then?

thanks again, robyn

Yes, all your blood profile is normal including your red count. And although your Hb is only .1 above the lower range of normal it is still in the normal range. You might want to keep an eye on it though as if it does drop any lower below the range, it may make you a little anaemic.

Hemoglobin in women usually the lower normal range is 12, those references are for adults (both men and women) so 13 is very good for a woman, also the hematocrit,, MCV, RBC count. Also genetics play part on these, to measure really about the possibility of being anemic (in future) is measuring the ferritin levels (our storage).

I agree. When looking at Iron levels the ferritin needs to be assessed.
