lazy daughter

My 10 year old daughter Emily is very lazy ,twice this year she has pass out on me for no reason what so ever,she always complaints that something is sore, like her feet tonight, but she as done no physical exercise, she had a blood test which rule out diabetics do you think this could be related to the thyroid gland or something similar,my mother had her thyroid gland removed for similar reasons please help?

My mom felt exactly the same way you did. I was passing out and was not very active and very lazy. Until recently I thought it was just because I was lazy but I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. It is not something to mess around with. I am still very nervous as to what this could mean for me. I wish my mom would have got me tested years ago when all of this had been occuring. Please take her for these tests ! It will help her in the long run and even if this is not the problem then you guys can work together to figure out what is.

Unfortunately the only way to know for sure if it is her thyroid is to have the bloodwork done. She needs to have a TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 tests done to get the whole picture. Don't let the doctor just run some of these tests, she needs ALL of them. Also having the thyroid anitibody tests done for hashimotos and graves is a good idea too. An 10 year old just "passing out" is very concerning. What did her doctor say about that???
I would stay on her doctor to find out exactly what is wrong.
