I had my thyroid total removed in February due to tumors, No cancer, at the hospital i was put on synthroid then when I got my refill they gave me levothyroxin (levothyroxineLevothyroxine Levothyroxine sodium) I took that for 3 months had my blood tested and all was fine, but then the Endo put me on synthroid i took that for a month got a refill and again received levothyroxin (levothyroxineLevothyroxine Levothyroxine sodium) I have felt fine on either my hair seemed to fall out more on the synthroid, but my questions is I am a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys concerned about the switching so much would it be again to take the synthroid again and make sure i get that each time. My endo has left town and where i live does not have one so I am going to my family doctor he does not seem to be concerned as to which one i take and I have refills on both
You should stick with one or the other and make sure that you are given that always. I started on Levothyroxine and Cytomel then changed to Synthorid. I personnally had issues on Synthroid and have since moved to Levoxyl. There can be differences and potiency issues between meds, and switching all the time can be problematic to some.
