levothyroxine 50mg

I recently went to the doctor for advise on losing weight as i was finding it hard to lose the stone i had gained. She suggest we check my thyroid which turned out to be underacting and put me on a daily dosage of levothyroxine 50mg. I have been now taking this for about 4 weeks and feel very tired and just seem to have no energy to focus on anything let alone tiring to lose weight. I also seem to be hungry all the time any suggestions ?
