had thyroid surgery in 2004 to remove right thyroid, which turned out to have three types cancer encapsulated within the tumor. because of the cancer, i was operated on the following week for removal of left lobe, which did not contain cancer.  As far as we can tell the cancer did not spread to surrounding tissue and was totally encapsulated within the tumor walls.  The right lobe was wrapped around my recurrent nerve, which prevented the surgeon from removing the total right lobe, therefore, i was given radioactive iodine.  It did not toally eliminate the remaining tissue, so i was given radioactive iodine again the following year.  It is taking me a long time to overcome the effects of tiredness, rapid heartrate, etc., after taking this second, higher dose treatment.  The remaining gland shrunk some, but is still present. Now the doctor is talking about a third RA treatment, along with possible  external beam radiation.  I'm afraid of the radiation and opted out of it when first suggested in 2004.   So far, all cancer tests seem to be fine, although there is still tissue present.  We don't know if the tissue has any cancer cells for sure.  We are just watching it.  I am on 125 synthroid and remain quite tired with heartrate of 95-98 at a resting state. Does this seem normal?  Is there anything that can be done to regain a healthy feeling?  My whole insides seem to be trembling, particularly at night, when it wakes me up.    To complicate my medical dilemna, i had a total hysterectomy last year, due to an ovarian cyst.  I cannot take estragen.  It makes me feel worse with leg cramps, etc.  I am 60 yrs old.  Any suggestions for better health?
