im gluten intolerant and my family has a diabetes background. yes it is frustrating in the beginning i didnt know what was wrong i kept getting anxieties attack and i was depressed all the time. and thank you so much for you sharing your situation
I know. I know this is really frustrating, confusing and it makes you downright miserable. Feeling Crazy is kind of typical for most of us out here. It's just part of it, it would seem. The thyroid crazies. We all feel it. But to know you are trying to do everything you can and not only NOT lose any weight, but then to gain more. Then I would get frustrated and mad and just start pigging out. If I'm going to gain weight...may as well enjoy it right? But that just got me in more trouble as now I seem to be glucose intolerant. Can't win for losing some time.
But just know this. Getting the thyroid to work right for you again takes time. It takes trial and error. And what works for me, may not work for you. so you just need to experiment here and there. Be patient. Take it one step at a time. You are on your way. But you may have to take a detour now and then. : ) Keep your chin up.
For a moment I thought I was going crazy. The diet my doctor put me on is to eat only vegetables and fruits all I want. But I don't see any weight change I continue to gain not to lose..
Well it certainly was for me for awhile. I still have moments, but am on a low carb diet and I am encouraged to eat snacks between meals. Only 1 carb snacks, but between the meals and before bedtime.
When I first started on synthroid I swear to you, I felt like I could just crawl in the cupboard or refrigerator and just live there. Why bother going to another room, I was just going to be back in here in a few minutes afterall. that hungry, starving, totally hollowed out feeling is one of the worse.
