my 7 year old Grandson

his lymph nodes has been swollen since May2012. he since have joint pain, stomach pain,pain when swallowing, lump on the left side of his neck, weight loss poor eating habits. high calcium level,high pth, high platelet count. low grade fever. what is going on ? WHAT TEST DO HE NEED?? What kinda of Dr  should he see

Would MAyo Clinic be an option? Did a CT scan pan out?

The lump on the side of his neck could be a parathyroid tumor, rather than a lymph node.  The symptoms he describes could all be due to this.  At least you should be getting a second or even third opinion.  High calcium is never normal.

High calcium and high pth would tend to indicate a parathyroid problem (hyperparathyroidism).  The doctors need to go back to specifically evaluate this possibility further.

he has seen a ENT,GASTRO,ONCOLOGIST, AND A ENDCRINOGLIST, Tcan't seem to find the problem they know there's something wrong they can't seem to find it. we are trying to get a CAT SCAN for him.

What test has he had?  How high are is platelets?  And what kind of dr. has he seen?
