I agree...the new range for TSH, according to AACE is 0.3-3.0, and many would argue that limits of that range ought to be adjusted down.
What's the range on your T4 (it should be in parentheses next to your result)? Is it total T4 or free T4? If it doesn't specifically say "free" or "FT4", then it's total.
I dont know enough to say..( I just posted a similiar question probably about the exact same time you posted yours around 5 min ago!), however I'm pretty sure that you're TSH is quit a bit higher than optimal. I believe that the new accepted values are more like .5 to 3.0 and that Even people with above 2.0 maybe suspect for subclinical hypothyroidism. That said, I dont know or understand the normal values for T$, T# uptake or Free T3 and I know that does make a difference in your condition. So I pretty much have nothing of value to contribute aside from the fact that that TSH level would definitely warrant some more investigation!
