no thyroid and no t4?

Anyone know if someone with no thyroid at all can go without t4? I mean if I have high reverse t3 and the treatment is slow release t3 only can this be done? I start losing my hair again around cristhmas and a blood tests show that I was a little hyper but my dose is only 100mcg of t4 which normally is the right dose for me, so it was suggested that I might have high reverse t3. My levels are free t4 1.91 range 0.82-1.77, free t3 3.2 range 2.0-4.4 (very unlikely for me, my highest free t3 ever was 2.7 when I was taking naturethroid). My doctor suggested a saliva test and the results are as follows: morning 7.1 range 3.7-9.5, noon 1.4 ranges 1.2-3.0, evening 1.1 range 0.6-1.9, night 1.1 range 0.4-1.0 High.
My levels differ from my last saliva test done in july last year and I was using hydrocortisone suppositories for hemorrhoids for around a month or so and a month later my hair starting to fall and have all this problems that suggest to me those hc sup messed up my cortisol levels somehow. Any thoughts? thank you for your time!

Hi,

it is possible to take only a T3 med and not a T4 med.  However, if the T3 med is not slow release you may have trouble regulating your levels / have to take med very frequently.

Ideally a combination of T3 and T4 med for most (either natural thyroid or man-made combination).

I lean towards release t3 too, I tried natural thyroid and have to take it few times a day and have trouble regulating and my hair fall never got better from it, went back on t4 alone and in 6 weeks my hair stop falling. I don't know what my problem is right now but if is not the reverse t3 I'm going to ask my doctor to introduce the release t3 and maybe lower my dose of t4 and see what the outcome is.
