nodules and pain

i had a partial thyroid removed about 25 yrs ago now, i have a nodule 5.2x 2.6x 2.6, tsh 30.4 already had I 131 and there's no change. the dr said there a risk to have surgery again cause of the scar tissue from the one yrs ago.  its a cold complex nodule. my question is should i worry i've had this for 8yrs and on armour now. pain in neck,up to my ear hourse alots and a sore throat.   thank you

My endo warned me about scar tissue complications and I should avoid more surgery to the area ..... I wonder what exactly can go on that she would mention that .. I have history of stitch abcesses and some infection in 2 areas from a cyst that went wacko and ruptured that we never knew I had above the incisional area, but now that that is gone I wonder about the scar tissue *risks* and what the implications are for her to go as far as to say that it is something I need to keep in mind in my situation.  hmmmmmmm.

THE REASON THE DR MENTION THAT, IT WAS A RISK OF DAMAGING THE VOCAL CORDS CAUSE OF THE SCAR TISSUE FROM PAST THYROID SURGERY

OH, YEAR AGO BEFORE RAI WAS 4.8 X 2.4 X 3.5 CM.  NOW AFTER RAI    I 131 IS 5.2 X 2.6 X 2.6CM . MY ENDO DR BEFORE SAID MEDS WOULD NOT HELP BUT MY ENDO NOW BUT ME ON SYNTHROID AND WE JUST CHANGED TO ARMOUR.  ( MY 1ST ENDO MOVED) :(    IS IT NORMAL TO HAVE ALL THESE SYMPTOMS-SORE THROAT,EAR PAIN, HOARSE,PAIN IN NECK TIGHTNESS, DRY COUGH TIS ALL COMES AND GOES. HELP!!
