normal thyroid function tests

by Prieva, Aug 10, 2009 05:54PM
Although my function tests are normal, I do have high levels of antibodies for Hashimoto's.  I also have
many nodules that have been biopsied once and found benign.;  I feel I have symptoms such as fatigue and
thinning hair and joint pain.  Is it possible that the thyroid is not functioning even though the tests for T4 and Tsh
are normal?

You can start to have symptoms long before the numbers start to show. BUT, normal isn't always normal for Hashi patients, so please share your most recent labs with ranges. You really need to have a free t3 test done with the tsh and free t4.
