overactive thyroid

I just started taking methamazole 3 days ago, when does it start working

Hi Fab- hang in there..methimazole can take months to get you back to normal, but in two weeks you should feel MUCH MUCH better.   I understand the frustration. Are you are beta blockers? I took propanol for two weeks to settle my heart rate while we waited for the methimazole to kick in and slow down the hormone production.  It helped a lot.

thankyou, this is so frustrating, I have so many symptoms, Just want then to go away and feel normal again

Hi, I'm familiar with Synthroid which takes about a week to start seeing some results, but real clinical results they say are 6 weeks -- most feel difference in 4.

Just my 2 cents.
