I just started taking natureNature-throid Natures tears-throid (like armourArmour thyroid without the fillers) about three weeks ago. My period just came two weeks early and has lasted a long time, almost 6 days now. Is this because of the thyroid meds? Should I be worried?
Thanks
Usually the difference in period appears if one is hypo or hyperHyper-sal. Or it could mean you are perimenopausal. (Don;t know how old you are :) ) If it continues to happen every month then I would get it checked out and have some hormonal tests done including an FSH and LHLh blood test Lh urine test (home test). Make sure your thyroid levels are are in check.
Hi Laura
I feel like I am slightly hypo now, because I switched from cytomel (15mcg) to the naturethroid. I don't feel as good on the naturethroid yet, maybe because of the time release not letting all of the t3 hit me at once? All of my hormone levels are low right now, but usually my period is regular. I take estriol but that has not effected my cycle before.
Maybe I am hypo?
Thanks
