I suggest that you ask the doctor what the ultrasound test showed.  Was there still thyroid gland tissue left?  If so, that may be why you still have some thyroid hormone showing up.

Ferritin a storage form of iron.   It is probably the best single test for iron.  It is considered a precursor to iron levels.  So try hard to get all those tests done and then post results.

First thing to understand is that just being anywhere within the ranges does not mean they are optimal.  Due to the erroneous assumptions used to establish ranges, they are far too broad, especially to the low end of the ranges.  Given that, your Free T4 is only at 33% of its range, and your Free T3 at 55 % of its range.  In view of your hypothyroid symptoms, your Free T3 being significantly higher in range than your Free T4 indicates to me that your body is trying unsuccessfully to convert enough T4 to the T3 it needs, or else your Free T3 is pooling in your blood, rather than getting into cells where it is needed.  Pooling of T3 is reported to be associated with deficiency in cortisol or ferritin.  So those should be tested.  Also, one of the best measures of thyroid hormone sufficiency at the cellular level is the ratio of Free T3 to Reverse T3.  So I also recommend testing for Reverse T3 and another Free T3 test from the same blood draw.  Since hypo patients are so frequently deficient in Vitamin D and B12, I also suggest testing for those.

Do you think you can get your doctor on board to do that testing?  If you can get those done and then post results and reference ranges we will be glad to help interpret and advise further.

One thing that is very puzzling to me is why you have even those levels of thyroid hormone after having RAI, and not taking any thyroid med.  Did the doctor intend to totally destroy your thyroid gland, or only partially?  Perhaps an ultrasound test of the gland area might be in order to see if there is tissue still there that is producing hormone.  Even if there is, with you also having Hashimoto's, it is only a matter of time until you will need full daily replacement dosage of thyroid med.
