Have you had your TSH checked lately????   I know that when mine gets too high that I do get terrible migraines and depression.

Hang in there.  If the migraine gets too bad and your meds don't kick it, my doctor advised me that you can always go to the ER.

BLESS YOUR HEART.  AS A LIFELONG MIGRAINE SUFFERER, I KNOW HOW HORRIBLE THE THINGS CAN BE....THE ONLY RELIEF THAT I'VE FOUND HAS BEEN TOPAMAX.  IT'S A PREVENTATIVE MEDICATION THAT YOU WILL TAKE DAILY....IT REALLY IS A LIFE SAVER. JUST A WORD OF WARNING THOUGH, WHEN YOU FIRST START TO TAKE IT, IT WILL TURN YOU INTO A WALKING ZOMBIE...GETS BETTER, BUT IT REALLY IS HORRIBLE TO START WITH.  I'VE OFTEN WONDERED IF THEY WERE CAUSED BY THE THYROID MYSELF, BUT IN MY CASE, THEY CAN'T EVEN DIAGNOSE WHETHER MY THYROID IS "SICK" MUCH LESS DECIDE IF THE MIGRAINES ARE CAUSED BY IT.....GOOD LUCK, I REALLY HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON.

Dear Suzanna,
Yep I do - have had for past six years or so and doc thinks it is connected with thyroid- Im not so convinced it is all that with me as I have positive antibody tests ( autoimmune tests ) that I think better explain these. However they have got steadily worse over past six years and now they even break thru the preventions meds four or five days a week.

Is your Tsh healthy? and have you had allergy/sensitivity tests to help you avoid triggers for your migraine? I do know how you feel! Im actually taking part in a reasearch trial soon looking into heart valve defects as causes for migraines - the theory is that the defect between the artery and vein threshold in the heart lets thru tiny colts which can cause migraines in people with these defects. Apparently 50 percent of people have this defect but for most it is not a big problem. I tell you this to remind you that research is happening all the time and to not let go of hope!
              Love Manxie xx
