post thyroid surgery. Is everyone still on synthroid?

I had my surgery almost 3 months ago, its still hard getting use to. Is everyone still on the synthroid.

If you had a total thyroidectomy you will never go off any replacement medication. If you had a partial thyroidectomy, you might find as time goes on you may need less medication. It may need to be increased too, depending on what your situation was prior to surgery.

I had a total almost a year ago and I still am having a hard time finding the right dose of Synthroid. It takes some time for people, I guess. Don't get discouraged to soon.

Took me 10 mos to get regulated and still tweeking believe it or not 1.5yrs later but overall feel GREAT!
