If i had to do it all over again, I would only change one thing. I would of had the damn thing removed 2 years ago when all of this started and not waited two years of my life tinkering around with this cr@p. I do feel better thank you.
I did have a total thyroidectormy. The surgery was a piece of cake walk in the park. Had it at 2 pm. Woke up at 430 or 5. Up to my room at 6. BY 7 was eating popsicles and chocolate ice-cream. Drugs and popsicles.
Then at 1 am i was eating a turkey sandwich surfing music on Facebook. I got real itchy from the anestethia so they gave me benedrel and more drugs. Then at 9 i ate a fill breakfast. Then at 11 i was home at my house starting to work for the day.
I am feel better. I would do it again in a NEW YORK MINUTE.
i had mine removed in september of last year not by choice i had a massive gorider chokeing me todeath an unless they removed my thyroid with it then it would have came back i am still not got my levels right after 7 months so if at all possible i would recomend trying to keep because like me your body may not except the meds my liver is now rejecting my meds so my level keeps riseing an in an out of the hospital is not easy an its really not easy as a singal mom so just something to think about
Thanks Brucer did you have a total thyroidectomy? How is it that your symptoms are worse now if you have no thyroid? I'm glad you can play with your daughter now too :-) sounds like overall you are glad you did it.
Mine
Pros- No more throat pain, easier to breathe, no more sinus colds.
Cons - Symptoms a little stronger, anxiety worse, ear ringing worse
Wush I would of done it the day this stuff started 2 years ago. I'd probably be balanced and in a better place now. I would not of spent so much money and time going from Endo to Endo only to end up where I am now.
My antibodies are almost gone.
I can play wrestle with my daughter now without the pain....
