Prior to being dx'd hypo, my heart rate typically ran in the low 50's (mid 30's when sleeping, according to holter monitor). My doctor said anything between 60 and 100 is "normal". I'm currently on 88 mcg levo and 5 mcg cytomel (generic) and my heart rate is typically in the low to mid 60's.
My cardiologist says that having a low heart rate is not always bad; some athletes have very low resting heart rates.
Also bear in mind that your heart rate will vary, depending on what you are doing at any given time.
Just got back from the doctor where my heart rate was in the low 50's. She has upped my levothyroxine to 50 mcg. She is going to see if the increase medicine stabilizes by heartrate. I am newly diagnosed with hashimoto's and have spent the last 8 wks at 25mcg. Hopefully this new doseage will work.
still varies alot some days as low as 65 70 sometime like 90 but feel much less hyper. so its OK
thanks. it varies from 66 to 80's so i think it's OK . 100's feel hyper. never was below 60
Each person is different because of maybe other health issues..like me with a heart murmur and tachycardia and bradycardia (irregular heartbeat).
I have always found that anything below 60 is HYPO and anything near 100 is HYPER.
Hope that helps :)
Pulse rates can vary depending on age and fitness level. I found this site that you can enter your age and it will give you an average.
