question about hashimotos

by curious53, Jun 12, 2007 12:00AM
Several years ago a thyroid nodule was biopsied and the endo said it was hashimoto's thyroiditis but my blood work has been normal until this month.  I have been under a lot of stress.  Tired, gaining weight, always cold etc.  But my bloodwork came back hyperthyroid.  glucose level also was 94 (was 64 in November with normal thyroid levels).

I am concerned about the glucose level even though it is still normal.

Have any of you been hyperthyroid before or during hashimoto's?

Hi,
look up hashitoxicosis or toxic hashimoto's ....yes I'm hyper and hypo swinging often, rad RAI May 18 to treat the Graves (hyper end)....It's not fun swinging, but there are treatments. And you need a thorough endo who will do complete thyroid panels, not just TSH.
Hope this helps,
Pam
