No it is major blood vessel probably vein (artery shows in red)
I just got an ultrasound of my thyroid. I was trying to watch the screen but couldn't so the technician said that if I wanted to see them when we were finished, she would show me. So, when we were done, I sat up and she showed me a few. I didn't say anything, but one of the pictures, on the top right had a big light blue circle on it. It really stood out, and I didn't think anything of it until I got home and read some about thyroid nodules. Does this sound like a nodule? It was pure blue and big.
thank you so much and yeah it has a circle with colors in the middle mines is 3cm
Is it in a circle without color in the middle, i.e., a ring? If that is the case, it is most likely benign. Sorry I wasn't clear. Even if it has blood flow throughout, the chance of cancer is 5-15% and if it is cancer, you have a nearly 100% cure rate. The thyroid is very difficult to diagnose without taking out the gland and doing a biopsy. Mine had bloodflow, was more than 2.1cm, solid, and it wasn't cancerous...but my thyroid tissue was. You just never know until you take it out.
WELL MINES IS IN A CIRCLE AND ITS ALL OVER TO SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW I GO SEE THE ENDO MONDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME IM READY FOR THAT SO I CAN REALLY SEE WHATS GOING ON !!!
Were the colors all over in the area or were they in a circle? If is is all over, that means your nodule is vascular...i.e., it has blood flow, which means it could be cancerous, but probably is not. If it is in a circle, that means that there is no internal blood flow, suggesting benign nodule. My nodules were vascular, when they came out they were in fact benign, but my thyroid had microcarcinoma in it. You just never know until you take it out if it is cancerous or not. The odds are 5-15% chance in nodules.
no its my thyroid ultrasound it has red in it but most of it is blue with a lil yellow i don't know what it is
Manmon is 100% correct if this is a heart ultrasound (doppler) that you are talking about.
I cant comment in regards to the thyroid.
One color is blood from heart (oxygenated) I think that is the blue one, the other (red?) is coming back to the heart (non-oxygenated)...I am not sure if that is exactly right, but close.
