I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism last month.i.e. june 2009. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh result was 9.5 and T4T4 test was within the range.Doctor said to take the test again after a month to re-check the result. MY TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh result was increased to 12.77 and T4T4 test was within the range, so he prescribed levothyroxineLevothyroxine Levothyroxine sodium 50 mcg for 6 weeks and said he would see me again in 6 weeks for the blood test to check the levels. I am planning to become pregnant once the TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh level come normal. What are the chances of baby getting any thyroid disorders. I had my first baby in 2008. During my pregnancy everything was normal. I am not sure when this hypothyroidism developed. Should my first child be checked often for thyroid disorders. Please let me know.
