shoulder pain and arm pain

Last year i was hypertyroid.  I was on thyroid medicine for 7 months. (Tapazole).  I have currently been off the thyroid medicine for almost 5 months.  My thyroid when i went off the medicine was 1.25 or close to that.  My tyroid is now at .7.  My  arms and upper shoulders are aching again.  When I take the tapazole the pain in my arms and shoulders go away.  My doctor says that i am in the normal range.  I do not feel good very tired, can't sleep, when i sleep it is three to four hours at a time and my body just aches and is fatigued.  I believe i should still be on the thyroid medicine.  What makes me most mad is that i had went to physical therapy  because my doctors have never heard of shoulder and arm pain being a symtom of hypertyroid.  I tried to tell them that i had read about it, but they did not believe it.  Once i started taken the tyroid medicine the pain went away.  I am 42 years old and am going through menopause they say because of the hypertyroidism.  Please advise i need answers.

You may also want to check the trigger points for fibromyalgia just to rule that out too.

When you say your thyroid was at 1.25 or 0.7, are you referring to TSH?  Is that all that's being tested?  Are they testing Free T3 and Free T4?

Just being in a "normal range" doesn't mean you are well.

Maybe you should think about finding another doctor?
